Amazon Fire TV Taught Me These 3 Things!

Amazon Has Amazing Voice Recognition

If you are searching for a tv show, movie, music, or application, Amazon Fire TV has an amazing voice portal. I have always considered Google Voice Recognition to be one of the best on the market.

However, one of my friends from the UK tried this out yesterday and it picked up their British accent. I happened to think this was pretty cool.

Amazon Apps Are Evolving!

You know an app is pretty new when you look up the “Productivity” category and there are only 4 options for download. What I am talking about is the additional applications that you can download onto your Fire TV.

However, that being said, there are a lot of great apps on the device. For example, I was very impressed with the Pandora application. It even has a Flappy Bird app! I accidentally spent 45 minutes playing this game on the TV using just the remote!

Amazon Eliminates Major TV

Aside from live broadcasts and the other live shows and events, Amazon pretty much eliminates the need for TV. I didn’t really think this was true until I found a football news application and also downloaded an application for Bloomberg Plus which plays the latest world wide news.

All the TV shows you want to watch are available on Netflix or Amazon Prime. But even further, if you cannot find it on Amazon Prime, you can just buy the DVD or Blue ray download directly from Amazon. How cool, right?

In Closing

I’d highly recommend buying the Amazon Fire TV, especially if you can get a discount on it. Now, I’m off to play some Flappy Bird!
